Ready, set, go

Sola participated in her first "race" at the annual "Miles for Midwives" fun run. This is her pulling a very willing Marshall (a friend since birth) across the start line before the official lollipop race began. So cute!

Summer Has Come and Gone

With school out of the way (for now). We went touring again. First a trip to Montreal to meet the Greats and Grands. Solène met some family members for the first time as well as some old favorites.

This is my great great aunt, Tante Marcelle which means that this is Solène's great great great aunt. wow.

4 generations together again

Upon return from the east we headed west to the Olympic peninsula. It was gorgeous complete with sunny skies.

Solène turned 2!!! We celebrated with a circus extravaganza at our (newly painted) house. It was a blast, complete with a surprise visit from Noona. Sola was not a huge fan of having the "Happy Birthday"song sung to her, although she loved singing it for everyone else. Notice, Xavier sweeping in to help her blowout her birthday candle.

Next we went to Colorado with the Kemper Family for some Rocky Mountain fun. Three kids under the age of the 5 in one small cabin made for an exhausting but memorable experience. We went for many hikes, picked wild flowers and ate lots of yummy meals out on the deck.








We rook a trip to Florida in June and enjoyed lots of QT with the family and the Davy girls

Dress-up

Our girl has been such a little ham lately and enjoys playing dress-up. She managed her way in to these various get-ups all by herself (with the exception of the pink-tutu which she donned for the annual urban hike we participated in).

Solène had her first sleepover at Grandma and Papa J's house and Mama and Dada had a long overdue sleep-in. It must have gone well, because they offered to do it again. Yay!
